To begin this task, speak with Otto about "Barbarian Firemaking". Required Items: Bow (not composite or ogre) and either Oak logs or a Hatchet Barbarian Bare-Handed Fishing Information The table below shows the specific requirements. When you catch a fish by hand, you have "Harnessed the Barbarian way of bare-handed fishing." The fishing requirements are twenty levels higher than those needed for normal harpooning. To find harpooning spots, refer to our Fishing Guide. Do not bring a Harpoon unless you plan on dropping it. He will tell you that you need to go to a normal harpoon fishing spot. To begin this task, speak with Otto about bare-handed fishing.

(Side Note: When you are only beginning barbarian training, if you jump into the "Whirlpool", you will just be washed down Baxtorian Falls and take around 100 life points of damage. When you come across a lake that has a dock leading to the "Whirlpool", take the western path around the side of the lake.
